High End Audio Repairs and Custom Upgrades by Ben Jacoby

 Ben Jacoby has over 30 years of experience as a troubleshooter and technician. His professional career began as a troubleshooter for Loral Electronic Systems, a U.S. based defense contractor of state of the art electronic countermeasure / early warning systems (ECM/EWS). That was when the audiophile bug bit him.
Many of Ben Jacoby's colleagues were audio enthusiasts, and with only a little persuasion, he started to design and modify vacuum tube electronics. This came as second nature since he was a jazz guitarist and always preferred vacuum tube amplifiers because of their special tonal characteristics.
Ben Jacoby then went on to Bell Labs where he worked as a technical associate. Afterwards, he became the service manager of New York Sound Investments and Vintage Audio. Vintage Audio specialized in refurbishing tube McIntosh and Marantz components. Life is good when you can make a living doing something that you truly enjoy.
For 7 years, Ben Jacoby was employed as the service manager of Stereo Exchange, New York City's premier high end audio retailer. Stereo Exchange's vast inventory of new and used audio equipment provided him with the opportunity to repair and troubleshoot many of the world's most esoteric audio components. Over the years, Ben developed and maintained numerous long standing relationships with high end audio manufacturers.
After Stereo Exchange closed their service department, Ben Jacoby created New York Audio Repair / High End Audio Repair. In making this transition, he filled the void created by the lack of high end audio repair alternatives.
